Polar bear looks up at Amundsen’s Polar Flight

This stamp was issued in 1925 – 96 years ago. It was right to celebrate the airmail service then, and of course no one knew the expansion of usage of flight fuels would be a part of the causes of catastrophe for the Polar bears’ home-land.

航空便で手紙が早く届くことを祝う切手はたくさん発行されています。96年前のこの時点で、航空機も大きく加担する化石燃料の使いすぎで地球全体の温度が上がり、シロクマの住まいの氷が解ける事態になるとは、誰も想像できなかった。やっと今「全世界が共有する事実」になったわけです。
