map and compass point

15 April 1944, Sweden
Tercentenary of first Swedish Navigators’ Chart
designer: H. Sallberg
engraver: S. Ewert

I like maps.  People say women cannot read maps – that is not true.  I am a good navigator and sometime better than TomTom.

Maps are used a lot for subject of stamps, as it shows a territory of a country and also movement of people.  I like this stamp, particularly the compass point is nicely featured.  The map featured is the first Swedish Nautical Chart, made in 1644.
