They have a really great strategy to keep their next generation’s seed landing on a tree branch, rather than on the ground below – birds are involved. ヤドリギはその名のとおり、大きな木に寄生してそこから水分や栄養をもらって生きる植物です。そして、次世代を増やすには種を木の下の地面ではなく、どこかの木の枝に乗せる必要がある。それには鳥が一役かっていて、それは相当かしこい戦略なのです。このビデオを観ると、どうしてヤドリギの近くでは鳥がダンスを踊ることになるのかが分かります。
