I have used the ferry to cross the Channel several times and my longest ship travel was about 10 hours, an over night ferry from Osaka to Kochi, southern city of Shikoku. I remember the sky full of stars I watched from the main deck and a shake when the ship was going into the Pacific Ocean. The ship was a lot smaller than the one pictured in this stamp… I wonder how comfortable (or not) to travel sea in a ship like this.

I watched the documentary film on Greta Thunberg’s sailing trip from Europe to New York when she attended the environmental conference there. It looked really tough being sea sick… and she returned the same way. That was a real challenge and I admire her spirited guts.
