old and new cars

26 January 2010, Great Britain
designed by Andrew Davidson

The car industry has grown huge since the early era and supported the usage of fossil fuels. The recent shift towards electric is inevitable and welcomed of course, but I am against the ban of old cars to drive into London. A lot of people gave up to keep their old-but-not-vintage-yet cars when the Ultra Low Emission Zones came in. I don’t think it is logical for forcing people to give up older cars when a lot of new cars are still not ecological (heavy SUV, for example) and production of new car is very carbon intensive.

This stamp show a car from earlier times – possibly a 1930s MG, it looks elegant.
