Another stamp which is showing the Telegraph key in operation. Behind the operator, you can also see the modern interior of a domestic house. And the stamp below, with Dish aerial was issued at the same time.
Somehow I have this impression – Socialist countries tend to feature working women in their stamps. Or maybe only my eyes tend to stop on those women at work?
電鍵が出てくる切手をもう一枚。オペレーターと送電線と、電話をかける人の描かれたベトナムの切手です。とてもモダンな室内装飾も気になるところ。パラボラアンテナが描かれた下の一枚も同時に発行されました。
社会主義国の切手には、働く女性が多く登場します。はつらつと自転車をこぐ、この中国の郵便配達婦しかり。プロパガンダはともかく、本当のところどれくらいの割合で女性が社会に進出しているのか、知りたいところです。
did they still use telegraphs in Vietnam in 1985 ?? It doesn’t look very modern…
I am puzzled, too. The room interior where the telephonist is standing is modern, though. Maybe the past and the present in one stamp…
