Horse-chestnut is popular in parks and on roadside greens, but rarely used for furniture or other purposes.

ヨーロッパの森や街路でよく見かけるトチノキ。ナラ（オーク）は伝統的に家具につかわれてきた素材ですが、栃を使った家具というのはほとんど見かけません。マロニエとして親しまれているフランスでは、何かに使われているのかな？
